Como informamos anteriormente en Diciembre de este año tendremos la visita en Lima del sensei Willy Ortiz 7mo Dan , entrenador de la selección de Finlandia e instructor jefe de la JKA en ese país , su llegada está ya confirmada para el 7 de Diciembre via KLM , el sensei Ortiz , peruano de nacimiento , inició su formación en Karate Shotokan en New York E.E.U.U. en la linea JKA del sensei Nishiyama en el año 1964, recibió formación de leyendas como Nakayama, Okazaki, Mori, Kaze, Mikami, Kanazawa, Enoeda, Ueki Ohtsuka, Yamaguchi , regresó al Perú en 1970 y con el sensei Kenyi Kimura iniciaron el desarrollo del karate oficial en el Perú en el tatami de la entonces Federación Peruana de Judo Y Karate en la puerta 23 de nuestro legendario estadio nacional de Lima . Fué integrante de nuestra primera selección nacional que participó en el primer Campeonato Panamericano en Brasil (1973),tambien de la selección nacional que nos representó en el segundo Campeonato Panamericano realizado en Diciembre de 1974 en Lima. En 1975 despues del Panamericano de Lima el sensei Ortiz emigró a Finlandia e inició la enseñanza del arte marcial en la ciudad de Pori. Seis años más tarde fundó la Federation Finlandesa de Karate Shotokan . La Federación está asociada a la Asociación de Karate de Japón (JKA), y en 1998 se convirtió en miembro de la Federación Finlandesa de Karate.
